Friday Feeling :-)

I love love snacking at night especially a few hours after eating dinner; and to be honest self control when it comes to snacking is very impossible for me.

The downside of late night snacking is the food hangover you get the morning after, the fact that you feel so bloated that your favourite pair of jeans might not even fit by the zipper. There's no need to stop late night snacking if you eat the right foods such as the below:-

1 cup of Strawberries, Raspberries, Grapefruit or Clementines- Consuming fruits with a very high content of sugar makes you feel puffy. However these fruits contain water, very filling, a healthy option and are packed with immunity -strengthening antioxidants & vitamins.

Low-Fat Greek Yogurt- Greek yogurt are really great and help with your digestive system. Tastes even better when the above fruits are added.

Half an Avocado- Avocados contain very healthy fats which settle whatever craving you're feeling.

Asparagus- Also helps with your digestive system. No need to control the portion size you eat as there isn't such thing as eating too much Asparagus.

6 ounces of Chicken, Turkey or Grilled Fish- These contain lean protein that helps rev up your metabolism which also helps you burn calories even after you've fallen asleep.

1 cup of Papaya- Papaya has a digestive enzyme in it geared towards helping your stomach move food out faster.

1 cup of Celery with 2 tablespoons of Hummus-  Celery contain so much Fibre that helps satiate your appetite with a few spoons of hummus.

Glass of Water- The most essential thing to consume before going to bed is water, as this helps flush out sodium, which retains water like sugar in your body.
